Configure Role Permissions
Role Permissions allow you to set specific access levels for Decision Sub-Types against each person. Updating the Role Permission access for a User will overwrite the general Decision Group access assigned to them. By default, when a User is assigned to a Decision Group, they adopt the same permissions as the Decision Group.
What You’ll Need:
- Decide the permission levels of employees within the organization.
Setting Up Role Permissions
1. Go to Organization in the left navigation panel.
2. Click Role Permission to expand the menu.
3. Select the User from the list on the left side.
4. Check the applicable Decision Sub-Types to assign to the employee.
Role Based Permissions override any general Decision Group permissions an employee is given.
Users are given permission to decisions in three ways:
a) By being allocated to a Decision Group;
b) By being allocated access here in Role Permission; and
c) By being assigned to a Decision directly (i.e. a User can be provided access on an ad hoc basis by using the Assign feature within a decision..
Role Permissions Access
If a User is granted access to decisions via Role Permission, they are entitled to view and edit (depending on their Decise Role) ALL decisions within the Decision Sub-Types allocated to them.
If a User is granted access to decisions via Decision Groups, they are entitled to view and edit (depending on their Decise Role) ALL decisions within the Decision Sub-Types allocated to that Decision Group.
If a User is granted access to a decision via the Assign feature, they are only entitled to view and edit (depending on their Decise Role) those decisions assigned to them.
