Collaborating on a decision has never been easier with Decise. A decision often has multiple stakeholders involved. Ensuring all stakeholders have visibility as to the status of the decision, are able to contribute or comment on a decision is vital for efficiency in the decision making process.
All decisions by default are created in the Open Status. The decision remains in this status whilst it is being worked on.
Once the team or User is ready for the decision to start being reviewed, it can be Published. A Published decision is locked to those with a Creator, Collaborator and Participant Decise Role.
A Manager or above role can edit a decision in the Published status. These Users can also Reopen a decision if more work is needed.
If the Manager or other permitted User is happy to progress the decision forward into the workflow, they can Submit it for approval. At least one Approver must be assigned prior to submission.
A Submitted decision is ready for Approver #1 to make their decision verdict.
All Approvers have the same Status options. They can Accept or Reject based on their order in the approval workflows. They too can Reopen the decision at any time.
Once the decision has had its final approval, it is assumed that the decision will proceed to implementation.
If the decision has been executed, the final Approver then has the option to mark the Status of the decision to Completed.
Making a decision involves a string of Stakeholders contributing to its evaluation, and then its verdict. All of these Stakeholders are not often in the same building at the same time. Constantly having meetings is an inefficient way of collaborating on a decision. With decision workflows, all stakeholders that are required to make the decision can be included digitally, Notifications sent when it is someone's turn to take the next step is automated. The decision process works faster and smoother because of this digital workflow, which is partially powered by the necessary workflow notifications keeping things moving.
Change your notifications preferences anytime in the Settings>Notifications area on the left navigation panel.
Collaborating is quick and easy, Communicate with your colleagues in two ways.
1. Make a comment thread about the Decision as a whole.
When all questions are collapsed, any comment you add is added to the decision as a whole.
2. Make a comment thread about a specific question.
If a question is expanded, the Comments title will display the Question ID, comments made here are specific to the question.
You can Delete comments, tag / mention Users in comments and reply to comment threads.
Status changes and certain activity about a decision is recorded in its Activity Log. Users can view the log anytime to view what has happened in this particular decision's workflow.
It will show you the date and time of status changes. As a leader know how many times the decision progressed forward and then was reopened before it came to you for approval.
Organizations' now have the visibility to tangibly track the efficiency and efficacy of all of their decisions.
