The Decision Snapshot provides dashboard style reporting on all of the decisions circulating through the organization and the status of them.
Push the 'Go To' arrow, in the top right corner of any of the status snapshots to see the detailed view of the decisions within this status.
This is the Total Number of Decisions in your organisation's decision pipeline. It represents how many decisions are being considered, in any status, that have not yet reached a final 'outcome'.
This means Total Decisions does not include:
- Final Approved Decisions
- Completed Decisions
- Rejected Decisions
- Cancelled Decisions
- Archived Decisions
This is the total number of Decisions that are being prepared by the organisation.
A decision can be published for a preliminary review, prior to being submitted for approval. This is the total number of Decisions that are in this status.
Once a decision is complete by the relevant stakeholders, a User can submit it for approval. Prior to this occurring, at least one Approver must be assigned to that decision. This metric shows how many decision are awaiting their first round approval, if there is more than one Approver named. Otherwise, this metric shows how many decisions are pending a determination.
Decisions can be cancelled at any time. This metric is the total number of decisions cancelled by the Organisation.
If an approved decision does not eventuate into implementation, then the decision should be marked as cancelled. The activity log can record that this decision was once approved. This keeps the 'Approved by' metrics organised and accurate.
Where only one Approver is assigned to a decision, then a decision will remain in this status until it is implemented or cancelled.
Where there are multiple Approvers, a decision in this status means that the decision has been endorsed or accepted by the first Approver.
Where there are only two Approvers assigned to a decision, then a decision will remain in this status until it is implemented or cancelled.
Where there are multiple Approvers, a decision in this status means that the decision has been endorsed or accepted by the second Approver.
Where there are three Approvers assigned to a decision, then a decision will remain in this status until it is implemented or cancelled.
A decision in this status means that the decision has been officially approved and accepted by all Approvers and is now pending execution.
A decision that has been made can later be moved into this Implemented status, only if the decision was actually executed. When a decision status changes to 'completed' it appears in this implemented metric.
Unsuccessful decisions that are marked as 'rejected' appear in this metric.
